HYDERABAD: Senior Vice President Muhammad Fahad Mian and Vice President Irfan Arbiani of the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry (HCSTSI), along with a delegation, attended the Bachat Bazaar organized by the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) at the New Sabzi Mandi, Hyderabad.
They inaugurated the bazaar alongside the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad, Zain-ul-Abideen Memon.
The initiative was also supported by HCSTSI and the Municipal Corporation Hyderabad. The delegation included Executive Committee Members Sikandar Ali Rajput, Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, and others.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Senior Vice President Muhammad Fahad Mian commended RDF Hyderabad Project Manager Aftab Soomro for his efforts towards public welfare. He said that Bachat Bazaars offering essential commodities at affordable prices provide much-needed relief to the public amid rising inflation.
Making essential items such as flour, pulses, sugar, rice, cooking oil, vegetables, fruits, clothing, and other household necessities available at reduced prices is a commendable step towards easing the financial burden on citizens.
He urged the Government of Sindh to allocate suitable land for the establishment of a permanent Bachat Bazaar in Hyderabad and promote such initiatives on a sustainable basis to provide lasting relief to the public from the impact of inflation.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon appreciated RDF, HCSTSI, and the Municipal Corporation Hyderabad for their collaborative efforts in facilitating the public.
He emphasized the importance of initiatives that make essential commodities available at affordable prices, particularly during periods of inflation, and highlighted the need for effective coordination among public institutions and relevant stakeholders to promote public welfare and provide relief to citizens.
RDF Project Manager Aftab Soomro stated that the Bachat Bazaar featured stalls offering food items, vegetables, fruits, traditional cuisine, clothing, and other household goods. Expressing satisfaction over the keen interest shown by citizens, he thanked the participating organizations and all stakeholders for their cooperation and support in making the initiative possible.
