LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has opened candidate registration for the Chief Minister IT Internship Programme (CMITIP), aimed at strengthening Punjab’s IT sector by connecting talented graduates with IT companies, providing on-site experience, and creating new employment opportunities.

According to PITB on Tuesday, under the CMITIP, over 4,000 short-listed candidates will be placed in more than 350 leading IT companies across the province, where they will gain practical experience, enhance their technical skills, and build strong professional portfolios. The four-month internship will offer a monthly stipend of Rs50,000 per intern.

Commenting on the initiative, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that the initiative reflects our commitment to empower young people by connecting talented IT graduates with industry. He added that the initiative would help expand employment opportunities for graduates while contributing to the growth of Punjab’s digital economy.
