ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved three summaries, including the appointment of the Chairman and a member of the Federal Service Tribunal.

The approved summaries also include the Pakistan Infrastructure Development and Assets Management Authority Bill, 2026, and the Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

The Pakistan Infrastructure Development and Assets Management Authority Bill, 2026, passed by Parliament, aims at establishing a central authority to improve the planning, execution, and management of public infrastructure projects and federal assets.

The law seeks to ensure better coordination of development projects, maintain infrastructure assets, and establish a comprehensive database of federal government land and buildings. It is also intended to improve asset management, prevent encroachments, and ensure development works follow modern standards and best practices.

Parliament has passed the Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2026, aimed at streamlining administrative decision-making and improving efficiency in the federal civil service.

The law seeks to delegate certain routine powers currently exercised by the Prime Minister and Federal Cabinet to the relevant federal secretaries or competent authorities, reducing delays in administrative matters.
