HAMBURG: The Busan section of the Korea Feed Association (KFA) in South Korea purchased around 60,000 metric tons of animal feed corn in a private deal on Friday without issuing an international tender, European traders said on Tuesday.
The corn is expected to be sourced from South America only and was bought at an estimated at USD283.30 a ton cost and freight (c&f) plus a USD1.50 a ton surcharge for additional port unloading.
The corn is for shipment from South America between November 10 and December 10, 2026, for arrival in South Korea around January 24, 2027. Seller was said to be trading house Sucden.
Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
