LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said the country is currently moving towards progress and cannot afford any form of protests or sit-ins.

While addressing the People’s Party workers, the Mughal community, and the general public in Muridke, the governor stated that the People’s Party is the only political party that understands the issues faced by the public. He stated that the People’s Party is the only party that has continued its journey of public service, whether in power or out of it.
The governor remarked that the Peoples Party and the (N) League are allied parties and are aligned on the same page regarding the country’s development. He urged the youth to contribute to Pakistan’s nation-building and development without falling prey to any misleading influences. He highlighted that soldiers of the Pakistan Army are sacrificing their lives for the sake of the country. “We stand with the Pakistan Army and the country in every difficult time,” he said. He further stated that the drone attack on Makkah is highly condemnable and that, as Muslims, we are ready to sacrifice our lives for the protection of Makkah and Madinah.
Moreover, the governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operations in Balochistan under ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad 3’. He stated that the nation salutes the martyrs of the Kohat blast and affirmed that their sacrifices would always be remembered. He commended the security forces for eliminating 11 terrorists in Panjgur and Chagai. He reiterated that the war against terrorism would continue until the menace is completely eradicated.
