ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting Thursday to advance Pakistan’s trade and export promotion agenda.

The DPM/FM emphasised strengthening trade facilitation, enhancing the quality and competitiveness of Pakistani products, expanding market access and diversifying exports, including through greater utilization of GSP+ opportunities in the European Union.

He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to promoting exports and strengthening economic ties, with sustained engagement with international partners.

Federal ministries and provinces were directed to maintain momentum on key measures to support exports and enhance Pakistan’s trade potential.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Federal Secretaries for Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Human Rights and Law, and senior federal and provincial government officials.
