Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday visited Quetta Garrison and reviewed the security situation, operational preparedness and measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan.

During his visit, the COAS interacted with commanders and commanding officers of field formations and received a comprehensive briefing on the security environment and operational readiness, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Matters relating to institutional coordination and support for the socio-economic development of the province were also reviewed.

Field Marshal Munir appreciated the “high standards of professionalism, operational readiness and selfless commitment displayed by troops”.

He underscored the importance of continued coordination among law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and other state institutions to consolidate peace and create an environment conducive to sustained economic activity and development in Balochistan.

The army chief reaffirmed that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan remained central to the state’s efforts.

He emphasised that a stable and secure environment would continue to facilitate development initiatives, economic opportunities and improved prospects for the people of the province.
