Rising tensions from the US–Iran conflict and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continue to drive up global petroleum rates, resulting in a daily increase in domestic fuel prices.

Customs duty has maintained at Rs 20.65 per litre for petrol and Rs 15.68 per litre for HSD. Climate Support Levy (CSL) has been held steady at Rs 5 per litre for both fuels. The major factor responsible for these high CPI rates is included the ongoing Middle East crisis, which continues to choke the supply of petroleum products.
