Indonesia January-July coal export volume down 6.17% y/y, stats bureau data shows

JAKARTA: Indonesia exported 201.47 million metric tons of coal in the January to July period, down 6.17% from the same period last year, statistics bureau data showed on Tuesday.

The shipments were worth $14.47 billion, 4.75% higher than the corresponding period in 2025.

The bureau’s figures are based on reports from the customs office.

The data may differ from those provided by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, which are based on reports from mining companies.
