LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a meeting to review the performance of the Civil Lines and City divisions, focusing on law and order, crime control and improved public service delivery.

The meeting was informed that 21 suspects involved in illegal practice of usury had been arrested as part of an ongoing crackdown. The CCPO directed to show no leniency toward those involved in this illegal practice and ensure legal action against them. He also ordered to provide victims of usury with prompt justice and full protection.

Bilal Siddique Kamyana further directed to intensify the crackdown on narcotics and dismantle drug networks operating in the city. He called for targeted operations against drug peddlers and ordered that those involved be brought to justice.

The CCPO also directed to identify Afghans residing illegally in the city and take action against them in accordance with the law. He ordered strict surveillance at hotspots associated with Afghans and effective monitoring of suspicious activities. He further directed to continue combing operations across Lahore and expand intelligence-based operations against criminal elements. He said individual posing a threat to law and order must be dealt with firmly and brought to justice.

Emphasizing the importance of public service delivery, the CCPO directed police officers not to make citizens visit multiple times to have their complaints resolved. He said police officials must ensure relief to aggrieved citizens and facilitate timely justice.

DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed and police officers from the Civil Lines and City divisions attended the meeting.
