QUETTA: An earthquake of 4.0 magnitude jolted Dalbandin district of Balochistan province on Saturday morning.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake’s depth was recorded at 35 kilometres, while its epicentre was approximately 100 kilometres Southwest of Dalbandin.
Panic spread among citizens due to the earthquake tremors; however, according to initial reports, there has been no loss of life or property. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that the situation is being monitored and contact is being maintained with the district administration.
Earlier on August 12, 2026, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake shook Zhob and Chaman districts of Balochistan. According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 15 kilometres, with its epicentre located around 122 kilometres northeast of Zhob.
The tremor sparked panic among people, with residents rushing out of their homes while reciting the Kalma Tayyaba. No casualties or damage to property have been reported so far.
