LAHORE: President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, has reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s youth and promoting stronger linkages between industry and academia to equip young people with practical skills and better employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a 30-member delegation of the Young Business Association Pakistan during its visit to the LCCI.
The delegation was led by Chairman Altaf Hussain Randhawa.
The LCCI president said that the youth were the country’s most valuable asset and their active participation was essential for sustainable economic growth.
He said that the business community and educational institutions must work together to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical requirements of the market. Faheem said that LCCI fully supported the initiatives aimed at connecting young people with industry, businesses and entrepreneurs.
He told the delegation that the Lahore Chamber would extend its cooperation and facilitate youth-oriented activities wherever possible.
The president encouraged the young participants to actively participate in LCCI’s seminars, workshops, exhibitions, networking sessions and other business-related events.
