ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Thursday that the government has decided, after consultation with its coalition partners, to convene sessions of the National Assembly and Senate on August 17 (Monday).
In a statement posted on X, the minister said the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has forwarded summaries for summoning the two houses of Parliament next week.
According to the minister, the Senate session will begin at 4:00pm, while the National Assembly session will be held at 5:00pm on August 17.
The session of the National Assembly was initially planned for August 7, but was postponed due to elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
