Palm oil rises on stronger rival oils, market awaits key data

JAKARTA: Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Monday, tracking stronger rival oils at the Dalian and Chicago markets, while traders await the Malaysian Palm Oil Board’s supply and demand data expected later in the day.
The benchmark palm oil contract for October delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange gained ringgit, or 0.32%, to 4,692 ringgit ($1,148.31) a metric ton in early trade.
