KARACHI: Futures trading activity at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) declined sharply during the week ended August 7, 2026.
Futures Average Daily Turnover (ADTO) fell to 184.46 million shares, down from 477.59 million shares recorded in the previous week, representing a decline of 293.13 million shares, or 61.4 percent.
The contraction was also evident in traded value, with average daily turnover in the futures market falling 57.7 percent to Rs8.40 billion, compared with Rs19.86 billion in the preceding week.
Despite the sharp decline in futures activity, the Futures Spread increased by 363 basis points, rising to 8.71 percent from 5.09 percent a week earlier.
