KARACHI: The American Business Council of Pakistan (ABC), under the leadership of its President, Akram Wali Muhammad, hosted the US business and Congressional delegation, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Government of Pakistan, for a high-level strategic dialogue on advancing Pakistan–US economic cooperation.
The engagement brought together members of the delegation, representatives of SIFC and the Embassy of Pakistan in the United States, as well as senior leaders from Pakistan’s private sector, to examine how bilateral goodwill can be translated into tangible trade, investment and commercial outcomes across strategically important sectors.
Addressing the delegation, Akram Wali Muhammad said Pakistan offers strong potential across technology, energy, minerals, manufacturing and other priority sectors.
“Pakistan is better positioned today to attract serious investment, build global partnerships and create opportunities for its young population. The time has come to convert dialogue into investment and investment into jobs,” he said in a direct message to the Pakistani diaspora.
Muhammad also highlighted the role of SIFC and the Government of Pakistan in facilitating investors through coordinated engagement and streamlined support, while reaffirming ABC’s role as a bridge between American businesses and the Government of Pakistan.
The dialogue concluded with a shared commitment to advancing bilateral trade, attracting U.S. investment and developing commercially sustainable partnerships that contribute to Pakistan’s long-term economic growth.
