ISLAMABAD: Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said “the PML-N should rein in its thugs and goons. They will not be allowed to steal the elections in Kashmir through force and intimidation. The PML-N believes that everyone is for sale and can be bought through inducements.”
In a statement, Senior Minister Sharjeel said the PML-N’s “Gullu Butts” continued their fascist tradition by martyring a PPP worker, adding the Election Commission’s silence over the free use of weapons by PML-N candidates is deeply regrettable.
He said the PML-N has resorted to underhanded tactics after realizing its impending defeat. “It wants to secure a “charity mandate” in Kashmir, just as it did in 2014. The PML-N, having its charity mandate and the production of Form 47 PML-N, is vitiating the electoral environment in Kashmir. The people of Kashmir are peaceful and are fully aware of the PML-N’s double standards and underhanded tactics,” he said.
Sharjeel said “the PML-N leadership should listen carefully: they will not be allowed to disturb the peaceful environment in Kashmir.” He added that the Election Commission’s silence over the PML-N’s violations of the election code of conduct is incomprehensible.
