KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the Sindh government is set to meet the energy needs of 275,000 families through the provision of solar home systems.
He described the Rs18.2 billion project, launched on the instructions of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, as a revolutionary initiative by the Sindh government.
In a statement, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that 132,000 families in off-grid areas and 143,000 families in on-grid areas would benefit from the Sindh government’s solar home systems project.
