KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 177,148 Tons of Cargo Comprising 114,052 Tons of Import Cargo and 63,096 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 114,052 Tons Comprised of 65,257 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 1,548 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 1,548 Tons of Canola, 2,622 Tons of Lentils, and 42,300 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 63,096 Tons Comprised of 29,518 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 1,222 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 30,075 Tons of Clinkers, 2,281 Tons of Rice, and 212 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
Six ships namely Dp World Jebel Ali, Wan Hai 516, Nara, Yu Tong, Maple Ocean, and Fu Hua are on berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Two ships namely Top, and GSI Melina sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Zhou Yue Yuan Yang’ left the port on today morning, while four more ships, HT Unite, Jacob-H, Roama and Marianna-I are expected to sail on 15th July.
Cargo volume of 128,566 tones comprising 78,855 tones imports cargo and 49,711 export cargo carried in 5,122 Containers (2,480 TEUs Imports & 2,642 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Zeal Start, Bolan, Khadeejah Jahan, GSL Melina and Silk Jakarta and another ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ carrying Palm oil, Mogas, Coal and Container are expected to take berths LCT, FOTCO, PIBT and QICT respectively on 15th July, 2026.
