Pakistan International Freight Forwarders - Association (PIFFA): Driving Excellence in Pakistan’s Logistics Industry
Established in 2005, the Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA) is the premier representative body of Pakistan’s freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain industry.
For more than four decades, PIFFA has served as the collective voice of the sector, promoting professionalism, ethical business practices, and international standards while contributing to the growth of Pakistan’s trade and economy through efficient logistics and transportation services.
PIFFA is licensed by the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), Government of Pakistan, and is a recognized member of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI). The Association is also affiliated with the FIATA and Carec Federation of Carrier & Forwarders Association (CFCFA). the world’s largest non-governmental organization representing the freight forwarding and logistics industry. Through these affiliations, PIFFA remains connected with global developments, international best practices, and policy initiatives that strengthen Pakistan’s logistics sector and enhance its competitiveness in international trade.
Representing a wide network of freight forwarding and logistics companies across the country, PIFFA works closely with government ministries, customs authorities, port authorities, airlines, shipping lines, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to promote trade facilitation, regulatory reforms, digital transformation, and sustainable growth. The Association actively advocates policies that improve the ease of doing business and create an enabling environment for Pakistan’s logistics industry.
A cornerstone of PIFFA’s success is its unwavering commitment to professional education and capacity building. Through the PIFFA Training Institute (PTI), the Association has established one of Pakistan’s most respected training platforms dedicated to the logistics and freight forwarding profession. PTI offers internationally recognized diploma programmes, specialized certifications, and executive training designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of industry professionals.
The Institute serves not only employees of member companies but also business owners, entrepreneurs, and future logistics professionals. Its programmes are designed to help participants understand evolving global trade practices, adopt modern logistics technologies, comply with international regulations, and respond effectively to changing market dynamics. By equipping professionals with technical expertise and practical knowledge, PTI enables organizations to improve operational efficiency, strengthen customer service, embrace innovation, and achieve sustainable business growth.
Recognizing the rapid transformation of global supply chains, PIFFA actively promotes the adoption of digital technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, and environmentally responsible logistics practices. Through conferences, seminars, workshops, and industry forums, the Association brings together policymakers, international experts, academia, and business leaders to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and develop practical solutions for the future of logistics.
Beyond its professional responsibilities, PIFFA remains committed to serving society through meaningful corporate social responsibility initiatives, including blood donation campaigns, educational collaborations, environmental awareness programmes, and community welfare activities. These efforts reflect the Association’s belief that responsible businesses contribute not only to economic development but also to the well-being of society.
Today, PIFFA continues to lead Pakistan’s freight forwarding industry with a clear vision of excellence, innovation, and global connectivity. By representing its members, investing in professional development, embracing technological advancement, and fostering strategic partnerships, PIFFA is helping build a modern, resilient, and internationally competitive logistics sector that will continue to drive Pakistan’s economic growth and strengthen its position in global trade.
