ISLAMABAD: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Women Entrepreneur Division, in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD), successfully organized a seminar titled ‘Export Readiness for Women Entrepreneurs: Registration, Branding & Market Access’ at PITAD, Islamabad. The seminar was organized to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs by equipping them with practical knowledge on export registration, regulatory compliance, branding, intellectual property protection, and strategies for accessing international markets.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Ms Humaira Israr, Director PITAD, who emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration and capacity-building initiatives in promoting women-led enterprises and enhancing Pakistan’s export competitiveness. This was followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Hira Arshad, Assistant Director, Women Entrepreneur Division, TDAP, who highlighted TDAP’s ongoing efforts to create greater export opportunities for women entrepreneurs through targeted training, awareness sessions, and institutional support. The event also featured the participation of Ms Samina Fazil, President, Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IWCCI), whose presence reflected the Chamber’s continued commitment to supporting women-led enterprises and strengthening their role in Pakistan’s export sector.
The seminar featured three technical sessions by distinguished experts. Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed, Domain Officer, Pakistan Single Window (PSW), guided participants on business registration procedures, export documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
