The Foreign Office said on Wednesday that technical talks between the United States and Iran were expected to resume in the coming week, as diplomatic efforts continue following recent understandings reached between Washington and Tehran.
During the weekly briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the next round of discussions was likely to take place next week. However, no venue or final date has been confirmed.
He said June 30 remains the most likely date for the talks, though meetings could also be held on Monday or Wednesday.
The announcement follows comments by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who said earlier this week that negotiations between Iran and the United States in Switzerland had concluded successfully as part of broader efforts to ease regional tensions.
The planned talks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to advance dialogue between the two countries and reduce tensions in the region.
