ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday and held separate meetings with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation.
The Iranian interior minister received Naqvi at the airport. During their meeting, the two interior ministers exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and the regional situation. They described the recent US-Iran agreement as a positive development for sustainable peace and stability in the region.
According to international media reports and a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, Naqvi later visited the Iranian Foreign Ministry, where he met Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The two sides reviewed Pakistan-Iran relations and exchanged views on regional developments in the wake of the recent agreement. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
