LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Punjab. The event was attended by HE Zoltan Varga, Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan, Honorary Consul General Ghulam Dastagir, Home Secretary Punjab, and diplomatic representatives from various countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Government is actively promoting interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, and the welfare of minority communities, initiatives that are receiving international recognition.
Ambassador Zoltan Varga appreciated the Punjab Government’s efforts for the protection of minority rights, promotion of religious freedom, social inclusion, and interfaith harmony. He expressed keen interest in enhancing cooperation in the fields of minority welfare, education, social development, and cultural exchanges.
