PM Shehbaz thanks Saudi Arabia for support during US-Iran peace process

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday thanked Saudi Arabia for its “steadfast support” to Pakistan’s peace efforts, according to an official statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The prime minister made this remark during a high-level telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
During the call, PM Shehbaz congratulated the Saudi leadership on the signing of the “Islamabad Peace Deal,” describing it as a significant step forward in regional diplomacy.
He said Saudi Arabia’s “wise leadership” and consistent commitment to regional peace and stability had played an important role throughout the recent crisis, the statement added.
Both sides agreed that the next phase of negotiations must continue to be guided by dialogue, diplomacy, and vigilance against any attempts to undermine the peace process.
The prime minister also expressed satisfaction over the strong state of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations and reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen economic cooperation under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework.
The conversation comes amid continued diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Riyadh on regional stability and expanding bilateral cooperation.
