ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal on Monday welcomed the peace agreement between the United States and Iran, calling it a major success for diplomacy and dialogue.
In a post on social media platform X, Iqbal congratulated the leaders of both countries for choosing peace and showing responsible leadership.
He said the agreement brings new hope for stability, economic growth, and prosperity in the Middle East and around the world.
The minister said Pakistan played an important role in supporting dialogue and helping build trust between Washington and Tehran. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has always supported peaceful solutions to international issues through dialogue.
Ahsan Iqbal also praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his efforts in promoting regional peace, saying his support strengthened Pakistan’s image as a trusted and neutral partner in global diplomacy.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, dialogue, and regional stability, expressing hope that the agreement would open a new chapter of cooperation and harmony across the world.
