KARACHI: Sindh’s Home Minister Zia-ul-Haq Lanjar has promptly addressed the alarming shooting incidents in Karachi, which have resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to several others.
The Home Minister here on Sunday requested a comprehensive report from the Additional Inspector General Karachi regarding these incidents. Highlighting the government’s commitment to citizen safety, he has ordered the immediate arrest of those responsible for the violence.
Minister Lanjar assured that the investigations would be conducted with transparency and impartiality. He also stated that high-quality medical facilities should be provided to the injured.
The Home Minister sternly warned that strict actions would be taken against those disrupting the city’s peace and conveyed a message of zero tolerance for law violators.
He instructed law enforcement to increase patrolling and implement intelligence-based strategies to prevent further disturbances. Additionally, he urged the public to promptly report any suspicious activities to the police, which can be contacted via the emergency helpline 15.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Home and Law endorsed the Minister’s orders, highlighting the government’s commitment to restoring safety and order in Karachi.
