LAHORE: The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) and The Bank of Punjab (BOP) have signed an agreement to launch the Parwaaz Card Scheme, a flagship initiative under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Hunarmand Naujawan programme that will provide interest-free loans of PKR 1,000,000 to 45,000 to skilled youth seeking overseas employment.
The agreement was signed by BOP Chief Digital Officer Nofel Daud and PSDF CEO Ahmed Khan. Under the scheme, eligible candidates from construction, retail, caregiving, hospitality, and allied sectors will receive financial assistance to cover pre-departure expenses, removing the longstanding barrier of upfront costs that has hindered overseas employment aspirations of Punjab’s youth.
