MPA Saqib Chadhar booked under PECA Act for allegedly harassing Momina Iqbal

A case has been registered under the PECA Act against Punjab Assembly Member Saqib Chadhar in the alleged harassment matter of actress Momina Iqbal, Aaj News reported on Friday.

The case has been registered at the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), filed on the complaint of the actress.

The sources said the stance adopted in the FIR levels allegations of cyber harassment, blackmailing, and illegal surveillance against the accused Chadhar, his wife Sumaira Khan, and other accomplices.

According to the text of the FIR, the accused are alleged to have been illegally monitoring the actress and issuing threats to her and her family.

The case further contends that Momina refused marriage after information regarding Chadhar’s first marriage came to light, following which a series of alleged blackmailing attempts through private videos was initiated.

According to the FIR, it has also been claimed that in 2023, the accused allegedly caused the breaking of the actress’s engagement by levelling false accusations.

Further investigation into the case is underway by the police and relevant agencies, while additional stances from both parties regarding the matter are yet to emerge.

Meanwhile, during the hearing of the alleged harassment case of actress Momina at a sessions court in Lahore, the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of Punjab Assembly Chadhar was approved.

The court issued orders restraining the authorities from arresting the suspect until June 24, directing the relevant agencies not to apprehend him during this period.

It is worth noting that actress Momina recently tied the knot with Hamza Habib, the pictures and video of which went viral on social media.
