KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has finalised comprehensive arrangements to ensure an uninterrupted water supply and effective sewerage services across the city during Eid-ul-Adha.
According to the KWSC spokesman, the measures have been implemented on the directives of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who also serves as Chairman of the water body under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Ali Siddiqui.
The spokesman said special arrangements had been made around mosques, eidgahs, imambargahs, and religious seminaries to ensure smooth water supply and drainage services during the Eid holidays.
Despite the public holidays, KWSC officers and staff will remain on duty and maintain a high level of preparedness to respond to any emergency situation.
All executive engineers have been directed to stay in their respective areas along with operational staff and machinery on a around-the-clock basis to promptly address public complaints and technical issues.
