Naqvi again arrives in Tehran

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday arrived in Tehran on his second visit in less than a week, as Islamabad continued diplomatic efforts to help revive stalled negotiations between Iran and the United States.
According to sources and media reports, Naqvi is expected to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials during the visit. He met Ahmad Vahidi, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), during his second trip.
During his previous visit, the Interior minister held a series of high-level meetings with key Iranian leaders, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Sources and media reports said the discussions focused on regional security, border management, bilateral cooperation, and the evolving regional situation.
Naqvi’s meeting with President Pezeshkian was held at the Presidential Palace in Tehran and attended by Foreign Minister Araghchi and Interior Minister Momeni, highlighting the importance of the closed-door discussions.
Iranian state media reported that President Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and support initiatives aimed at securing a ceasefire.
