PESHAWAR: The swearing-in ceremony of the new provincial ministers was held at the Governor House, Peshawar here on Sunday.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath of office to the new provincial ministers. The ministers who took the oath included Shafi Jan, Shakeel Ahmed, Tariq Mahmood, Nazir Abbasi and Arif Ahmed Zai.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, Speaker Provincial Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, and Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, senior officials of the provincial government, political figures and others. Minister-designate Adnan Qadri could not take the oath due to being out of the country.
Besides, the new ministers, the four advisors including Pir Musawir Khan Ghazi, Liaquat Ali Khan, Hamayun Khan and Mian Muhammad Omar have included in the cabinet.
Similarly, the eight special assistants to the chief minister will include Tariq Saeed, Muhammad Usman, Tufail Anjum, Iftikharullah Jan, Sami Ullah Khan, Malik Adeel Iqbal, Muhammad Khurshid and Muhammad Israr respectively.
