KARACHI: German Consul General in Karachi, Thomas E Schultze called on Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, here at the Governor House on Saturday, where they discussed in detail Pakistan-Germany bilateral relations, trade cooperation, investment opportunities, industrial collaboration, and other matters of mutual interest.

The Governor emphasized the importance of enhancing German investment in Pakistan, particularly in Sindh, and called for expanding industrial cooperation between the two countries.

He said Sindh offers vast opportunities for foreign investors in various sectors, including industry, infrastructure, energy, trade, and technology, adding that stronger economic engagement with Germany would contribute significantly to sustainable development and economic growth in the province.

The Governor highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Germany and noted that bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, education, and technology can be further strengthened through continuous engagement and mutual collaboration.

He also appreciated Germany’s support in development initiatives and stressed the need to explore new avenues of partnership for the benefit of both countries.

German Consul General Thomas E Schultze expressed keen interest in the ongoing development projects, expanding commercial activities, and growing investment opportunities in Sindh. He acknowledged Karachi’s importance as Pakistan’s economic and industrial hub and said German companies are interested in exploring broader cooperation with Pakistani industries and businesses.

The Consul General noted that demand for Pakistani products in Germany, particularly textiles, leather goods, surgical instruments, and sports goods, is steadily increasing.
