KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 162,586 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 111,489 tonnes of Import Cargo and 51,097 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, Ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 111,489 tonnes Comprised of 63,199 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,222 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 1,124 tonnes of Chickpeas, 45,944 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 51,097 tonnes Comprised of 25,258 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 926 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 9,404 tonnes of Cement, 15,118 tonnes of Clinkers & 391 tonnes of Rice.
Approximately, 09 ships namely, Xin Bejing, One Recommendation, Girolando Express, Hong Li Yuan Yang, True Faith, Van Hannah, He Run Xiang Mao, Violet Shanghai & Pioneer Harmony berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 10 ships namely, Wadi Almalekat, Ap Paris, MT Sargodha, Lucia, Wan Hai 626, Kian, Northern Practise, Akij Moon, MT Lahore, Hong Li Yuan Yang & Cma Cgm Medea sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Hansa Europe’ expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 179,640 tones comprising 134,284 tones imports cargo and 45,356 export cargo carried in 5,410 Containers (2,742 TEUs Imports & 2,668 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Xin Hai Hu (Dredger), Nikos and Aquavita Trust & another ship ‘Vari Trader’ with Coal and Engro commodity are expected to take berths QICT, PQEPT, PIBT and EVTL respectively on Thursday 14th May, 2026.
