LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said Pakistan’s army, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, decisively defeated India in Marka-e-Haq.
Speaking at a ceremony, to commemorate one year of Marka e Haq, the governor praised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s diplomatic efforts, saying he had exposed India’s lies to the world.
He said, “Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, said we would eat grass but build the atomic bomb. Today, that nuclear capability guarantees our security and regional peace.”
He paid rich tribute to the martyrs and ghazis, adding that the entire nation takes pride in its armed forces and stands united behind them. He also congratulated the nation on the historic success of the war imposed by India a year ago.
The governor said that today our heads are high with pride because of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Air and Naval Chiefs and the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army.
He paid tribute to the martyrs of armed forces who embraced martyrdom while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of homeland. He said that India and Israel want to eliminate Pakistan, therefore, they keep plotting to destabilize Pakistan. He said that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is a reward for the country, under whose leadership our forces defeated a country five times larger than ours with the power of faith.
He said that Modi is a coward and a cunning enemy who sought US President’s mediation to stop the war. The governor said that today the entire world is recognizing Pakistan’s stature and paying heed to its stance.
He paid tribute to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stating that his successful diplomacy had exposed India’s falsehoods globally. He stressed that Pakistan is a peace-loving country but will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
