LAHORE: Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has reaffirmed that the Punjab government will continue to work under the vision of public welfare, transparency, and sustainable development, ensuring equal progress across all regions.

During a meeting with the members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) belonging to Pakistan Muslim League (N) on Saturday, detailed discussions were held on ongoing development projects across the province, public welfare initiatives, and future strategies.

The MPAs appreciated the development initiatives being undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, stating that equal development across all districts and divisions is setting a new precedent. They remarked that the “Suthra Punjab Program” has emerged as a revolutionary initiative and is becoming a model not only for the region but also globally.

During the discussion, the MPAs noted that timely completion of the Annual Development Programme will significantly improve the standard of living in both urban and rural areas of Punjab. They further stated that through consistent efforts, transparency, and record-breaking development work, the Chief Minister has won the hearts of the people.

The participants also praised the effective measures taken to control crime in the province, terming the improvement in law and order as a major achievement of the government. They highlighted that historic work is being carried out for environmental improvement, with exemplary progress from legislation to the adoption of modern technology.

They described the introduction of electric buses as a major milestone for promoting clean energy and providing convenience to the public, while also calling the revamping of the sewerage system a significant reform initiative. The MPAs emphasized that, for the first time, development work is being carried out across the province without political discrimination.

The MPAs stated that projects such as “Model Villages,” “Suthra Punjab,” clean drinking water, and green bus initiatives have brought unprecedented convenience to the public. They also termed the construction of 30,000 kilometres of roads across Punjab a historic achievement that will play a vital role in the province’s socio-economic development.
