KPT berths first-ever transshipment cargo vessel at KGTL

KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has successfully berthed its first-ever fully dedicated transshipment cargo vessel, M V ERLIN, at Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited (KGTL).

According to the KPT, this historic docking with General Cargo, Bulk, Break Bulk and vehicles signals a quantum leap forward for Pakistan Maritime Sector solidifying Karachi Port’s evolution into a premier regional transshipment hub, strategically bridging global trade routes requirements.

It also reflects the positive impact of recent reform initiatives by the Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry focusing on strengthening efficiency, opening new businese opportunities and trade competitiveness.
