ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Parliamentary Board held a key meeting on Friday under the chairpersonship of Faryal Talpur via Zoom to deliberate on crucial matters concerning the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan Elections.
During the session, detailed consultations were held regarding the selection of candidates for seats reserved for women and technocrat positions. The board decided that all applicants for these seats will undergo a formal interview process to ensure transparency and merit-based selection.
According to the decision, interviews will be conducted tomorrow at 3:00 PM.
The meeting was attended by senior party leadership from both central and provincial levels, including Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Humayun Khan, Syed Mehdi Shah, Amjad Hussain, along with Jameel Ahmed, Engineer Ismail, Muhammad Musa, Imran Nadeem, Bashir Ahmed, Wazir Baig, and Sadia Danish.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Parliamentary Board emphasized that candidates will be selected based on merit, political acumen, and public service to ensure effective representation in the region.
