ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call on Wednesday evening from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye, during which the Turkish leader congratulated Pakistan on its historic peace initiative aimed at ending hostilities in the region.
In the warm and cordial conversation, Erdogan praised Sharif’s “bold and sagacious leadership” in pursuing efforts to end the Gulf conflict, which has caused significant human suffering and widespread infrastructure damage.
