LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt has directed concerned authority for timely completion of all public welfare projects and directed officials to ensure transparency so that maximum facilities could be provided to deserving individuals. He also stressed focused attention on the welfare of women, children, and persons with disabilities.
He was chairing a meeting held to review the overall performance of the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Department.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Social Welfare Saira Umar, DG Dr Shehnshah Faisal Azeem and other senior officials.
Secretary Social Welfare Department, Saira Umar, gave a detailed briefing on departmental performance, ongoing programs, and welfare initiatives. The performance of NGOs, Bait-ul-Mal, and Sanatzars was also reviewed during the meeting.
The Provincial Minister was further briefed on the performance of Medical Social Services Units and the progress on Chief Minister’s flagship initiatives.
