FAISALABAD: Government College University Faisalabad has achieved a significant milestone in international academia, with five of its disciplines featured in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
GC University Faisalabad underscoring the dominant role of state-run institute in driving research output and maintaining global academic visibility in QS subject rankings.
According to the rankings, Agriculture has been placed in the 301–350 band, Pharmacy in 351–400, while Chemistry and Mathematics have secured positions in the 451–500 range. Biology has been ranked in the 601–650 band worldwide.
The QS subject rankings are based on key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, and international research networks, and are widely regarded as one of the most influential benchmarks for assessing university performance worldwide.
The achievement underscores the university’s strong academic foundation, commitment to quality education, and a vibrant research culture across multiple disciplines.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam congratulated the faculty, students, and the entire GCUF community on the accomplishment. He said that recognition at an international level is a testament to the collective efforts of the university’s academic and research community.
