KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 118,837 tonnes of cargo comprising 76,045 tonnes of import cargo and 42,792 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 76,045 tonnes comprised of 46,706 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 8,502 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 2,298 tonnes of Chickpeas, 2,950 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds, & 15,589 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,792 tonnes comprised of 28,673 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 291 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 682 tonnes of Cement, 12,660 tonnes of Clinkers, & 486 tonnes of Rice.
Seaspan Breeze, No.6 Ocean Pioneer, X-Press Pyxis, Cn Minjiang, Kurt Mas, berthed at the the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 05 ships namely, Xin Pu Dong, Zhong Gu Lan Zhou, Oslo Venture, Greyman Express, Jaohar Uk, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a coal carrier ‘Bristol’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while three more ship, Venus-9, T Vega and Nose Expansion are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 96,690 tonnes comprising 70,160 tonnes imports cargo and 26,530 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 901 containers (54 TEUs imports and 847 TEUs exports),were handled at the Port.
There are 13 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them three ships, MSC Arica, Chemroad Orchid and Henriette Kosan carrying Containers, Palm oil and Chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT and EVTL respectively on Wednesday, 18th February-2026, while two more Containers vessels MSC Langsar and Elene Tare expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday 19th March-2026.
