ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in a special message on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr, said that the blessed night brings immense spiritual blessings, mercy, and forgiveness for Muslims.

In his message, the Speaker said that Laylat al-Qadr provides a valuable opportunity for believers to seek the special mercy of Allah Almighty through repentance, prayers, and self-reflection. He said that the night has been described in the Qur’an as being better than a thousand months, highlighting its significance and virtue.

Sadiq urged Muslims to devote themselves to prayers, remembrance of Allah, supplication, and seeking forgiveness during this sacred night in order to attain the pleasure of Allah. He also stressed the need to promote patience, tolerance, brotherhood, and compassion within society and to strengthen the spirit of unity and humanity.

The Speaker called upon the nation to offer special prayers for the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan during the blessed night. He said prayers should also be offered for peace, progress, and national unity in the country.

He further urged Muslims to pray for unity, harmony, and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah so that the challenges faced by the Islamic world can be addressed through collective strength. He said that special prayers should also be offered for the oppressed Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine who, he said, have long been facing oppression and injustice. The Speaker prayed that Allah grant them patience, resilience, freedom, peace, and justice.

Sadiq also called for prayers for the country’s security forces engaged in the fight against terrorism and for the protection of Pakistan from internal and external threats, as well as for the nation’s economic stability.

Meanwhile, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, in his message said that Laylat al-Qadr offers Muslims a unique opportunity for spiritual renewal and closeness to Allah. He urged believers to seek divine blessings through increased worship, prayers, and good deeds, expressing hope that the nation would pray for Pakistan’s security, development, and prosperity, as well as unity among Muslims and global peace.
