KARACHI: President of the United Business Group (UBG) Zubair Tufail has said that the entire Pakistani nation stands united alongside its armed forces and security institutions in the prevailing situation.

He termed the recent tensions from the Afghan side as “unwise” and described Operation “Ghazab Lil Haq” as a timely, courageous and decisive step to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty, security and national dignity.

He said Pakistan is a sovereign and self-respecting state, fully capable of defending its borders and national interests. “Any attempt to challenge Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a strong and befitting response,” he added.

Tufail said that unprovoked aggression targeted civilian populations inside Pakistan, prompting the armed forces to respond effectively through Ghazab Lil Haq Operation achieving notable successes.

He maintained that while Pakistan desires peace, its commitment to peace should not be misconstrued as weakness. “The nation is united, dignified and firmly stands with the Armed Forces of Pakistan for the protection of national security,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), Malik Muhammad Bostan, expressed full support for Pakistan’s military operation in response to the recent tensions along the Pak-Afghan border.

Referring to the situation arising from cross-border provocations, he said the Pakistani nation stands firmly behind its armed forces “like a solid wall of lead” and takes immense pride in their courage and professionalism.

“The people of Pakistan are prepared to make every sacrifice for the defense of their homeland and will stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces,” Bostan said. He added that any act of aggression would be met with a strong and decisive response.

The ECAP chief stressed that national interest must take precedence at this critical juncture and called for unity to ensure the country’s security and stability.

Bostan said ECAP, as a national institution, remains fully aligned with state policies and emphasized that promoting national unity during this sensitive period is of paramount importance.
