ISLAMABAD: The collection of Federal Excise Duty (FED) showed a decrease of 15.7 percent from fruit juices during 2024-25 against the same period of 2023-24.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) data for the whole fiscal year (2024-25), the FBR has collected Rs 4.153 billion during 2024-25 from fruit juices against Rs4.928 billion during corresponding period of 2023-24, reflecting a decrease of Rs775 million.
The FBR has collected Rs5.1 billion from syrups/ squashes during 2024-25 against Rs3.7 billion during same period of 2023-24, reflecting an increase of 39.7 percent.
The collection of the FED from the aerated waters/ beverages showed a decrease of 10.6 percent during 2024-25 against same period of 2023-24. The FED collection from the aerated waters/ beverages amounted to Rs 32 billion against Rs 36 billion.
The FED collection from concentrates used in Beverages/ Foods showed an increase of 27 percent during the period under review. The FBR has collected Rs39 billion under the head of these concentrates during 2024-25 against 2023-24.
