LAHORE: Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, on Saturday visit to the Judicial Complex in Fort Abbas, District Bahawalnagar.

The CJP visit the Fort Abbas in his capacity as Chairman of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan (LJCP), reaffirming the constitutional commitment to equal access to justice across all regions of the country.

The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum and other judicial officials also accompanied him.

A statement issued said, the district & sessions judge, Bahawalnagar, on this occasion inaugurated the newly established e-Library and solarization facility.

The sessions judge also performed the groundbreaking of the women bar room, marking progress toward fostering an inclusive and professionally supportive environment for women lawyers.

At the Judicial Complex, the CJP conducted a comprehensive review of court operations, infrastructure, and litigant facilitation mechanisms. He emphasized that constitutional guarantees must not be dependent on geography.

Even the most remote judicial stations must reflect institutional dignity, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to the public, he said.

CJP Afridi observed court proceedings, interacted with judges serving in Fort Abbas and adjoining areas, and acknowledged their dedication under challenging conditions.

He encouraged adherence to high standards of integrity and efficiency while assuring institutional support.

The CJP also maintained that the courts must evolve into inclusive service institutions that address not only adjudication, but also the vulnerabilities of women, children, and marginalized segments of society. The CJP also appreciated the Punjab government for executing the solarization project within the stipulated timeline.
