47 Revolution Day of Iran: Akbar Eissazadeh, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi
On the occasion of 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution of Iran
By the grace of the Allah Almighty, and the efforts and resistance of the people, today, we proudly mark the 47th anniversary of Iran revolution.
The Islamic Revolution of Iran represented the collective will of a nation that, in 1979, drawing upon its faith, historical identity, and aspiration for independence, overthrew a dependent dictatorship and a regime that placed foreign interests above the will of its people.
The revolution was not merely a transfer of political power; rather, it marked the beginning of the establishment of national sovereignty, democratic governance, and the restoration of the Iranian nation’s dignity and independence. From its inception, the Islamic Republic of Iran has charted its course on the principles of independence, freedom, justice, and the rejection of subjugation—a path that, despite sustained pressures and numerous challenges, has been pursued with continuity and resilience.
Over the past five decades, despite complex regional and international developments, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to achieve notable accomplishments by relying on indigenous capacities, social cohesion, and a skilled human workforce.
In the field of science and technology, knowledge-based companies have made significant advances in emerging technologies and the healthcare sector. In the realm of economy and production, despite unjust sanctions and the challenging conditions of the global economy, growth in industrial production, an increase in non-oil exports, a movement toward a more diversified and resilient economy have become evident.
Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to face simultaneous military, political, and media campaigns from the United States and the Zionist regime. As Iran acts firmly and decisively in defense of its sovereignty and national security, it remains steadfast in employing diplomacy to safeguard the interests of the Iranian people and to preserve regional peace and security.
The fundamental principle of diplomacy is respect for national sovereignty and mutual interests; therefore, any negotiation conducted under threat, coercion, or demands for unilateral and illegitimate concessions cannot be effective.
This year, we celebrate this national occasion in our brotherly country, Pakistan. Today, the ties between Iran and Pakistan are growing ever stronger, with cooperation expanding across all spheres.
Both the leaders and the peoples of our nations proud of the profound value of this enduring friendship, reflected in the deepening of our bilateral engagement and the steady progress of joint initiatives. The Pakistan–Iran relationship goes beyond governments—it is a living bond connecting two peoples, two cultures, and two nations, shaped by a shared history and sustained by a common commitment to peace, friendship, and prosperity.
I would also like to specially acknowledge the vibrant province of Sindh, which has become an important partner in this journey of closer ties. The extensive range of Memorandums of Understanding signed between Sindh and Iran’s province reflect our shared desire to deepen economic, technological, and cultural cooperation, creating opportunities for business, investment, tourism, and research that benefit our peoples directly. Sindh’s dynamic economic landscape and historic openness to collaboration exemplify the promise of our bilateral relationship and its potential to contribute to peace, stability, and shared progress in the region.
In conclusion, I extend my sincere wishes for enduring peace, lasting stability, shared progress, and lasting prosperity for the governments and peoples of the Islamic Republics of Iran and Pakistan.
Long live Iran -Pakistan friendship
