KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza directs KMC officials to prepare a rehabilitation plan, announces relief for shopkeepers before the construction of Gul Plaza.
He said that it has been decided to set up 1,200 stalls free of charge for Gul Plaza victims during Ramadan. These stalls will be set up in the polo ground’s weed zone.
He said that the concerned officers have been ordered to contact shopkeepers and the administration of Gul Plaza.
PPP, Sindh government and KMC stand with the victims of Gul Plaza tragedy, the mayor reassured, adding that Ramadan is the season for traders, we will provide them with all possible help.
He said that PPP shared the equal grief of the Gul Plaza tragedy victims.
Gul Plaza Shopping Mall, located at M.A. Jinnah Road, was one of the busiest commercial centres of the city, offering a wide range of trendy varieties in garments, cosmetics and interior decoration, etc. It was the favourite place for Eid and wedding shopping.
