HAMBURG: Leading South Korean feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 207,000 metric tons of animal feed corn, European traders said on Tuesday.

The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender is also Tuesday, February 3. Arrival of the corn in South Korea is sought in three consignments of 45,000 to 69,000 tons, all in June.

The corn is sought by NOFI unit NH Feed sourced from the United States, South America or South Africa with the seller free to select the origin to be supplied.

The first corn consignment was sought for arrival in South Korea around June 1.

If sourced from the US Pacific Northwest coast, shipment is sought between April 24-May 13, from the US Gulf between April 4-April 23, from South America between March 29-April 17 or from South Africa between April 14-May 3. The second consignment is sought for arrival in South Korea around June 10.

If from the US Pacific Northwest coast shipment is between May 3-May 22, from the US Gulf between April 13-May 2, from South America between April 7-April 26 or from South Africa between April 23-May 12.

South Korea’s KFA Incheon buys about 65,000 tons of corn

The third corn consignment is sought for arrival in South Korea around June 20.

If sourced from the US Pacific Northwest coast shipment is between May 13-June 1, from the US Gulf between April 23-May 12, from South America between April 17-May 6 or from South Africa between May 3-May 22. Offers were sought both in outright prices per ton c&f and at a premium over the Chicago July 2026 corn contract, traders said.
