ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Monday approved four major development projects worth over Rs. 240 billion.
The ECNEC accorded the approval to the projects in its meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
According to an official issued by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the approved projects include expansion of AFIC-NIHD Rawalpindi, Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, Karachi Yellow Line BRT Corridor, and the Harpo Hydropower Project (34.5 MW) in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Finance, Minister for Planning, Minister for Planning Sindh, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Planning, Defense, Secretary Water Resources, and other senior officials from EAD, Finance, NAVTTC and other concerned Ministries.
